. In Somewhere Between Here and There I work with the quiet poetry of the natural world — dried florals, feathers, fallen branches, and foraged mushrooms - to explore the shifting landscape of womanhood as it intersects with age, perception, and inner power and strength.

These materials, once alive and vibrant, now bear the marks of time with a grace and complexity that mirrors the evolving identities of women as they move through life.

This body of work challenges the societal gaze that often places value on youthful appearance, overlooking the deeper beauty that arises from lived experience, resilience and transformation.

Just as a dried bloom holds a memory of its peak, and a new more meaningful elegance, so does the aging woman. She embodies a layered and potent form of beauty — one not always visible but deeply felt.

I found myself drawing from the energy of the sacral chakra — the seat of creation, sensuality and the feminine force. Through this lens each assemblage becomes a meditation on the cycles of birth, life, decay, and rebirth. Not only in the physical realm but within the psyche and soul of all women.

These pieces are both altars and artifacts - honouring the scared transitions that are often hidden, devalued, or diminished.

This work resides in the in between. Between seen and unseen. Past and present. Bloom and wither. Between the here and there.
